Example 1: A patient presents with anal itching and bleeding.High-resolution anoscopy with chemical enhancement is performed to evaluate for abnormalities and collect specimens for further testing., A patient with a history of anal warts undergoes high-resolution anoscopy for surveillance. The physician uses magnification and chemical enhancement to identify any recurrence., A patient reports persistent anal pain. High-resolution anoscopy is performed to assess for fissures, hemorrhoids, or other sources of discomfort. Specimens are collected for analysis.

Documentation should include the reason for the anoscopy, the findings during the procedure, any specimens collected, and the type of magnification and chemical agent used.
