Example 1: A 12-year-old receives the MMR (Measles, Mumps, and Rubella) vaccine. 90460 is reported for the measles component, and 90461 is reported twice, once for mumps and once for rubella., A 5-year-old receives DTaP (Diphtheria, Tetanus, and Pertussis), IPV (Inactivated Polio Vaccine), and Hib (Haemophilus influenzae type b) vaccines during the same visit. 90460 is reported three times (once for each vaccine's initial component), and 90461 is reported for any additional components within those vaccines if applicable., An infant receives two doses of the Rotavirus vaccine during one visit. 90460 would be reported for the first dose, and 90461 would be reported for the second dose.
