Use K0738 when a home compressor is provided as part of a portable gaseous oxygen system rental. Do not use this code if only the portable oxygen system (without the compressor) is supplied.In that case, use E0431.

Modifiers such as RR (rental) and KX (requirements specified in the medical policy have been met) may be applicable.
