Z34.01 is the correct code., A 28-year-old woman visits a midwife for her initial prenatal visit at 12 weeks gestation. This is her first pregnancy, and it is progressing normally. Z34.01 is the appropriate code.

Documentation should confirm that the patient is in her first trimester of her first pregnancy and that the pregnancy is progressing normally.Any complications should be documented separately.
